After the Middle Distance at Mogo Trails in the morning, the ACT & NSW Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships moved to Tomakin for the Sprint in the afternoon. 89 riders from 27 clubs, from both sides of the Tasman, raced a fast, twisty course on the trails through the trees by the water.

Seven of the controls were radio controls, so splits came up on the arena screen while riders were still on the course. As soon as they finished, they were back under the marquee to compare them.

Ricky Thackray (Bibbulmun Orienteers) won M21 in 20:39 and Maya Bennette (Yarra Valley Orienteering Club) won W21 in 21:12. The full results and splits are on events.mesho.live.

Thanks to MTBO Australia, Orienteering ACT and all the volunteers who made it happen, and congratulations to every rider who took on the course.
